Police Scotland’s Lothians and Scottish Borders Division has a dedicated full-time wildlife crime liaison officer and there have been several well publicised, successful, prosecutions for hare coursing in the region in recent years.

No decisions have been made yet on what the transformation will look like and any transformation will involve liaison and discussions with SFRS staff, partners (including unions and staff associations) and the public.
That links to the second bullet point in the petition, which is about community liaison and public participation. That is where that aspect gets quite complicated.
