*S6M-14497 Marie McNair: Clydebank’s Will Hamilton Shortlisted for the Best Student Game at the TIGA UK Awards—That the Parliament recognises and congratulates Will Hamilton, who is from Clydebank and is a University of the West of Scotland graduate, on being shortlisted in the Best Student Game category at the TIGA UK Games Education Awards 2024 for his game, V-Art, which he created for his BSc in Computer Games Development dissertation, in which he achieved a first-class honours; understands that the virtual reality game creates an art gallery with recreations of famous paintings, including Edvard Munch’s, The Scream, and allows players to explore a 3D recreation of 2D art; welcomes that Will prioritised accessibility in the design of the game, including by taking account of the potential of motion sickness and by embedding audio descriptions and multi-language support; commends Will for creating a game of outstanding quality; congratulates him on this great achievement, and wishes him the best of luck for the awards ceremony.
