Shooting within the Infected Area is restricted by Section 29 of the Foot and Mouth 1983 Order.Elsewhere, shooting is allowed, but in order to ensure biosecurity, the Scottish Executive issued guidance on shooting on 4 July and published a code of conduct for grouse shooting on 20 July.
