To ask the Scottish Government how many people it estimates are currently employed in renewable energy supply chains in Scotland. Work by the Fraser of Allander Institute in 2023 estimated that in 2021 Scotland’s renewable energy industry and supply chain supported over 42,000 full time equivalent (FTE) jobs across the Scottish economy.Of these, around 16,800 FTE jobs were associated with the supply chains of renewable energy companies.
