Supported by: Alison Harris*, Richard Lyle*, Bill Kidd*, David Torrance* *S5M-15944 Angus MacDonald: STV Appeal Funding for Kersiebank Community Project—That the Parliament welcomes £2,000 funding from the STV Appeal for Kersiebank Community Project in Grangemouth; notes that Denny Community Flat and Enable Falkirk have also received funding from the STV Appeal; understands that Kersiebank Community Project provides activities, support and learning opportunities to the local community and will use this funding to help improve the lives of those people using the services that they provide; recognises that the STV Appeal was launched in 2011 by The Hunter Foundation and STV to raise funds and to help make a real difference to people who need it most, by providing practical help, such as food and warm clothes, by creating opportunities for training and employability, and enabling social and emotional support; commends the work of the STV Appeal in raising over £19 million, which has resulted in 1,102 awards across Scotland, providing support to over 79,000 children in the process; further congratulates Kersiebank Community Project on successfully receiving this funding, and wishes it the very best in the work that it does for the people of Grangemouth.
