Those proposals were not pursued.Currently Greater Glasgow Health Board and the North Glasgow University Hospitals NHS Trust are developing new proposals for acute hospital services in West Glasgow as described in the Health Board's Health Improvement Programme.
In addition, specific grant of £4.685 million is available to local authorities for in-service staff development and training in special educational needs.
Under the Bichard proposals, there is likely to be a further extension of the definition of the adult at risk workforce, which would extend the scope for eligibility further.
