Supported by: Miles Briggs*, Colin Beattie*, Stuart McMillan*, Neil Findlay*, Edward Mountain*, David Torrance*, Richard Lyle*, Kenneth Gibson*, Monica Lennon* *S5M-17811 Gil Paterson: Amanda Eleftheriades-Sherry and Clydesider Magazine—That the Parliament congratulates Amanda Eleftheriades-Sherry, who is the co-founder of the community magazine, Clydesider, on being selected to give a presentation, “Using creative community events as a catalyst for conversation”, at the Engaged Journalism Accelerator conference in Berlin on 19 June 2019; understands that the presentation, and subsequent workshop, will explore new ways of connecting, communicating and creating with marginalised communities; notes that the magazine is a free quarterly publication, which promotes the positive effect that West Dunbartonshire's communities have to offer in terms of people, place and history, and showcases the creative skills, ideas and experiences of the people from these areas; further notes that its content is produced by a team of creative contributors, which includes published and novice poets, authors, journalists, photographers, local artists, cartoonists and designers; wishes Amanda well for her presentation, and thanks all involved with Clydesider for their efforts to celebrate talent across West Dunbartonshire and sharing good news stories.
