To ask the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body, in light of reported concerns, what consideration it is giving to additional funding for increased security personnel and security for MSPs' surgeries and local offices. S6O-00413
To ask the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body, further to the response to question S6O-04050, what the findings were of the review of the terms and conditions of staff employed by MSPs, particularly in relation to parental leave policies.
To ask the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body whether it will provide an update on whether it will support MSPs to install ventilation solutions in their constituency offices with funding outwith the Office Cost Provision.
We also explored whether reports produced by a SPCB supported body carried greater influence with the Government than those issued by parliamentary committees, or a statement made by individual MSPs. The Minister for Public Finance did not express a clear view on the matter, instead noting that “A commissioner is one voice among several”6Ivan McKee MSP, Minister for Public Finance. (2025, May 8).
I am slightly concerned by the phrase“To ensure that CPG decisions are MSP-led”.It is always an MSP who convenes the group and leads the meeting, so I am not sure that it is valid to assert that decisions might not be MSP led.
To ask the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body what steps it is considering to ensure the safety of the public, MSPs and staff entering or exiting the Scottish Parliament campus, in light of a number of recent events of concern.
