Surely the Parliament should be informed of any breach of the code that has taken place. Very small breaches of the code can be attended to before an appointment proceeds.
Given that, the committee feels that in this case it would not be appropriate to apply a further sanction under rule 10.3 of the code of conduct.That concludes the committee's statement.
It is important to stress that, at this stage, the code is a draft code. Once the bill passes through the Parliament, SNH will have a new duty to prepare and consult on a code.
