The Scottish Executive fullysupports Communities Scotland’s approach to tenant participation and consultation,including its assistance to help tenants develop arrangements by which the tenants’movement can engage with the Executive at a national level.

To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it is taking to improve procedures for dealing with complaints against lawyers. We are developing a reform agenda which builds on the recommendations of the former Justice 1 Committee.We will issue a public consultation paper, by the end of the year, on our firm proposals to improve the complaints handling system.
To ask the Scottish Executive whether it is satisfied that a range of options was adequately considered prior to the development of plans for the reconfiguration of maternity services in Greater Glasgow.
A range of measures is in placeto improve local bus services, including the toolkit of options contained in theTransport (Scotland) Act 2001 and the new Bus Route Development Grant schemelaunched last month.
