The purpose of schedule 9 is to apply the statutory codes relating to utility apparatus. The statutory code governing the provision of telecommunications apparatus is the code set out in schedule 2 to the Telecommunications Act 1984, which was originally called the telecommunications code.

This census data does identify allpatients with an Availability Status Code and it is therefore possible to reporton the number of patients with a guarantee and an Availability Status Code waitingover specified periods on that census date.As I announced in December 2004,the Availability Status Code system is being abolished and from the end of 2007we will have a clearer, more transparent system that is fairer to patients.

The code is publicly available. All individuals working within the civil service operate within the framework of conduct, propriety and impartiality provided by the Civil Service Management Code and the Civil Service Code.
