The purpose of schedule 9 is to apply the statutory codes relating to utility apparatus. The statutory code governing the provision of telecommunications apparatus is the code set out in schedule 2 to the Telecommunications Act 1984, which was originally called the telecommunications code.
That means that there should be a change to the code of conduct. I am not sure that we should have a debate in the chamber on that alone, as that would mean taking parliamentary time to make one change to the code.
Any questions concerning the code or the register should therefore be addressed to that committee.Questions about a minister's ability to undertake functions that are within his general responsibility would be in order.The Scottish ministerial code is the responsibility of the First Minister.

The bill would require that SNH submit the proposed code to ministers for approval. I understand SNH hope to be in a position to submit the code to ministers in the autumn.
We require further debate, particularly once the CIO is appointed, to identify how best to respond to breaches of the code. I envisage the code acting more simply, as an overarching code that codifies and modifies how people in public bodies behave and allows them to recognise...

To ask the Scottish Executive when it will announce its conclusion on the review of the school provisions of the Schools (Scotland) Code. The Schools (Scotland) Code 1956 has been a feature of Scottish Education for over 40 years.
We want the commissioner to consult Scottish ministers and the Parliament when drawing up the code. Secondly, the commissioner will oversee compliance with the code by ministers.
