For 2006-07 and 2007-08 NHS Health Scotland has been notified of indicative increases of 3.6% in each year. The funding for NHS Health Scotland is included in the Total available for NHS and Special Health Boards spending category in table 5.03 of the Draft Budget 2006-07.

Under the Dare to be Digital competition we have provided funding for eight international scholarships from China (2), Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Taiwan and Thailand to participate in the summer 2005 competition.
The Scottish Executive recognises the importance of forensic pathology as a vital part of the criminal justice system. We propose to fund an on-going training capacity through the creation of dedicated Specialist Registrar posts in forensic pathology.
To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will increase the support it provides to local alcohol counselling agencies. The Executive allocated direct funding to NHS Boards of £3 million in 2004-5 and £5 million in 2005-6 to support the provision of alcohol treatment services.
