To ask the Scottish Executive when it will announce its conclusion on the review of the school provisions of the Schools (Scotland) Code. The Schools (Scotland) Code 1956 has been a feature of Scottish Education for over 40 years.
We would, however, expect the commission, in making decisions of that sort, to bear in mind the contents of the code applicable to the other body—that is, a code that has not directly been breached.

The Code of Practice on Access to Scottish Executive Information is based closely on the UK Government's Code of Practice on Access to Government Information.
Even if discussion is taking place, there is nothing to bring in a permanent code or to make the interim code permanent, although the interim code might be accepted subject to consultation.
