That has enabled me to look into the matter and to refer to and read last week's Official Report.Although it is not for me to adjudicate on the process that was followed, I confirm that, as stated by the convener last week, the Standards and Public Appointments Committee met its obligations under the code of conduct in full.I also confirm that in such matters, a member is entitled under the code to be asked to appear in front of the committee.

The bill would require that SNH submit the proposed code to ministers for approval. I understand SNH hope to be in a position to submit the code to ministers in the autumn.
