To ask the Scottish Executive whether it plans to fund a lung transplant service. The issue is being considered in conjunction with a review of cardiothoracic transplantation services in England.
It would not be right or necessary for the legislation to specify the membership, the remit or the frequency of meetings of the body. A more flexible way of operating would enable the widest range of opinion to be involved.
It is funny that you should say that, because I had a call from a university secretary last week advising me that the university was thinking of making a bid to the efficient government fund for money to develop a project for combined purchasing by universities.
