Amendments 237, 270 and 271 will bring the undertaking of activities into the code of practice regime that is set out in the bill, which will enable the commission to prepare and publish a code of practice relating to those activities, and to require officers to have regard to the code.As the bill stands, a code of informal debt collection does not need to be laid before Parliament.
