I am pleased to announce, as an addition to the resources previously allocated for the Rough Sleepers Initiative, that the Executive is making available a further £10 million this financial year to reduce rough sleeping, and to tackle homelessness.Of this £10 million, £4 million will be made available through health boards to fund health projects which will support RSI funded projects and £6 million will be made available this year for local authorities to put in place a range of projects which will provide accommodation for homeless households, in particular focussed on reducing the inappropriate use of bed and breakfast accommodation and to tackle homelessness amongst street prostitutes.
