Official Report
Meeting date:
28 November 2005
The question was whether you would have a problem with the local plans having the same statutory status as the overall code. If a local plan is drawn up, it should have the same standing as the code.
Not only has the commissioner concluded that we have not breached the code of conduct, but there is not a single word of criticism of either of us in the report.
We will try to do that. Paragraph 13.1.1 of the code of construction practice sets out how the code and the local construction plans will be applied to contractors.
Do you have any problem with putting the code on such a footing? Under the code of construction practice, the noise level is usually fairly closely monitored.
