I will pick up where I left off. I recognise that circumstances may arise after the two-month deadline, which is why provision is made that the court may consider, on special cause shown, an application that is made after that point.
We move to the open debate. 15:32 I am pleased to speak in the debate. Hard as it may be for folks in the chamber to recognise, I was first elected to Aberdeen City Council in May 1999—some 25 years ago.
I reassure the member that we had a very constructive task force meeting in May—I think that it was in May, but I will correct the record on the date—that provided an opportunity for everybody to understand the progress made and the elements that still had to be resolved.
Those are not my words; they are the words of former Conservative Prime Minister Theresa May. That is emblematic of how far and how quickly the Conservative Party has lurched to the right on those issues.
