As a representative of a West Lothian constituency, where nursery provision for four-year-olds is already highly developed, I welcome the minister's statement.
If we do not do that, we will impoverish the whole educational process and reduce the ability of young people to develop as fully rounded human beings.
I am thankful that it is receiving more funding for next year, because there was concern that funding would not be secure over the next two or three years.
