We must communicate the positive message not just about how to become physically active but about how people can access local services and support and maximise new technology.One of the big challenges now—which would not have been predicted 10 years ago, when the let’s make Scotland more active strategy was written—is that more than 50 per cent of us do our Christmas shopping online. We took it for granted in the past that shopping and going to work would involve physical activity, but that is challenged because of online and home working.
