The regulation which applies in this instance is 1408/2013 which is the Agricultural de-minimis Regulation. Agricultural de minimis allows farmers and crofters to receive 20,000 over a three-year fiscal rolling period.
However, in the petitioner’s response, he made the fair point that that was a red herring or a cul-de-sac—whatever you want to call it—and that he was concerned about the basic human right of having a public convenience.
To quote John Daniel Peteranna from South Uist: “The goal has to be to make it as easy to live and work on an Island as it is anywhere else ... and without the influence of Islanders on these public bodies controlling Island services the current de-populations trends ... will accelerate.”
I will certainly put in my letter that, should a CPG have come to the end of what it sought to achieve, it is possible for the convener of the group to write to us so that the group can, in essence, be de-recognised and its obligations can be removed.
We should concentrate on finalisation of the withdrawal agreement and of the characteristics of the transition period, including its de jure or de facto length. Following on from that, what is your view on what selective participation might be, going forward?

The Group will be chaired by Dr Linda de Caestecker, Director of Public Health, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and its membership goes further than required by the Social Security (Scotland) Act 2018.

Delivering Excellence and Equity in Scottish Education: A Delivery Plan for Scotland, published on 28 June 2016, sets out the actions we are taking to clarify and de-clutter the curriculum for teachers and to help reduce workload for teachers and young people.
That point was articulated well by Professor de Leeuw, who spoke of the criticality of timing, and of getting people ready for the wind sector where and when they are needed.
