Just before this meeting, I had an interesting conversation with a couple of people who are involved in the mobile data pilots that are already running in Police Scotland in different parts of the country—you are probably well aware of those.I am assured by a number of people that the project is completely compatible with mobile data, but it is not currently factored into the costs—it will be an extra element. I think that, in future, it will be an undeniable element, because thousands of cops throughout Scotland already have a taste for mobile data and it is a much easier way of working.
