I do not know what the correct figures are for medicine but if, for example, the length of a career in medicine is coming down from 40 years to 30 years, the argument that people can start their careers later becomes all the stronger.

I would like consideration of the petition to be kept open so that it can be reviewed once the outcome of NICE's determinations has been announced. Given that the Scottish medicines consortium has supported the use of Alimta for some time and that patients are benefiting from it, the present scenario is a matter of concern.
