In response to a question about the substantive changes being made to the Scottish DRS to align it with the other nations, the Cabinet Secretary listed the revised launch date, the increase in the minimum container size, the removal of glass and the exemption for retailers with small premises (matters highlighted earlier) as well as:
Producers being required to register with the scheme administrator rather than SEPA;
Take-back services may be provided voluntarily and organisations must register to operate take-back services;
The scheme administrator will have additional functions, including - issuing a logo and a machine-readable code...
