If the committee or the Scottish Government decides to make representations to the UK Government about purdah being a statutory obligation, we should ask the powers that be at Westminster, perhaps through the Speaker, to ensure that during the period MPs abide by a code of conduct that is very similar to that which operates in the Scottish Parliament.
