At our next meeting we will consider subordinate legislation that relates to the Historical Sexual Offences (Pardons and Disregards) (Scotland) Act 2018 and we will begin taking evidence on the Female Genital Mutilation (Protection and Guidance) (Scotland) Bill.
Mental health law and strategies
The Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003, subsequently amended by the Mental Health (Scotland) Act 2015, set out the legal obligation for councils to provide care and support for people with mental disorders.

Policy 31, which is on rural development, is a significant change. In the debate on the Planning (Scotland) Bill, a lot of emphasis was placed on growing the population of rural Scotland.
