The Scottish Government continues to take forward the recommendations of the Advisory Group on Tackling Sectarianism in Scotland which were reviewed positively by Professor Duncan Morrow in March 2017. The work has been focussed and delivered through education projects in schools, colleges, communities and workplaces for children and adults.

The impact assessments for Scotland’s Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) published on 16 March 2020 recognised that a single scheme administrator would likely be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the scheme, in line with the Scottish Government’s preferred scheme design.
I wrote to the UK Government on 27 February 2021, but I got no answer. I wrote again on 5 March, but I got no answer, and again on 12 March, but I got no answer.
It could be considered insufficiently clear whether the effect of that provision is that the regulation comes into force and has effect on 1 March or whether it comes into force on 31 March but its legal effect is backdated to 1 March.
