I presume that a high proportion of the money should come from United Kingdom funding. It would be interesting to get a further report on that in due course, but over the piece most of us have the impression that the policing of the event went very well and that it was a great credit to the police officers, police authorities, local authorities and everyone...

The first recommendation is on the Scottish Executive's response to our report on the new objective 3 and Highlands and Islands structural fund programmes. Most of our main concerns have been picked up—the Executive has positively engaged with the committee and I am pleased that the committee has had some influence.
