I very much welcome the fact that the Groceries Code Adjudicator is part of the UK’s legislative processes, and the European Commission is watching the adjudicator closely to see what we can learn and whether we need to lay down EU common rules and a framework for other member states.

Surely no one would deny the appropriateness of ensuring that each young person who registers to play with a pro club is provided with age-appropriate guidance on what registration means in advance of signing, or that age-appropriate versions of codes of conduct are developed.
