Officials in Officeholder Services meet formally with the officeholders on a quarterly basis and have regular contact throughout the year. This allows for the sharing of information on what is and what is not going well.
There appears to be universal agreement about a lack of clarity regarding the numbers of young people affected, and even after Jenni Minto, Minister for Public Health and Women’s Health, contacted the NSC, they simply said “in due course”.
The format used was that sites hosted a conversation starting with a tour of their site, followed by lunch and a discussion. There were also individual contacts and visits outwith the general meetings.
