We are saying that the committee should come to Denmark, find out how a product is developed for the world market and consider whether that product could be developed in Scotland once again.
It would be a very good idea.Honestly, no party can yet claim to have developed a mix or balance of transport policies that includes, crucially, a role for the private car.
The number is a best estimate of the ceiling that we envisage, but there is a desire to keep flexibility. As Stuart Foubister said, that flexibility is in both directions: an increase or a decrease in the number of part-time sheriffs to be appointed at any one time may be proposed.
Given that prevention is much better than cure, and taking into account the points made by Mr Robson, I hope the minister will accept that the idea of funding free independent financial advice should become part of the remit of the committee.
