The National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2025, SSI 2025/280 were made by the Scottish Ministers under sections 98 and 105(7) of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 on 7th October 2025.
I call on the UK Government, as I will do again when I see the Prime Minister tomorrow, to remove the energy profits levy, because of the damage that it is doing to the north-east of Scotland and to the future of the Scottish economy.

The country should focus on creating clean, green, renewable energy resources. We have a formidable track record of investment in Scotland and a formidable record of transformation in the generation of electricity in our country.
