In light of the lower levels of uptake this year, an additional week of TV advertising targeting parents of two to five year olds and press adverts for the 65’s and over were added to the schedule.
We rarely hear of Syria on our television news these days because we have moved on to other tragedies in other parts of the world, but people are still losing their lives and being forced to flee their homes daily.
We should also consider a minimum income guarantee to ensure that everyone in Scotland secures a minimum acceptable standard of living, thereby giving families enough money for housing, food and essentials, so that they can live a dignified, healthy and financially secure life.
I emphasise that we do not believe that the legislation is proportionate, because landlords as well as tenants are affected by the cost of living crisis that we are living through.
It might not be the most important issue, but diversity and equality often get left out of the discussion. We need to pay attention to how living in very rural parts of the country affects the lives of LGBT people and look at what we need to do to improve their lives.

In principle, Members have been very keen to get out into communities and hear more lived experience evidence. But for members, Mondays, Fridays, weekends and evenings are full of other commitments, both professional and personal.
