Does the Executive intend to introduce targets as part of the system of allocation of funds to local authorities, to ensure that no one will have to wait longer than a year?
I can only repeat my response to Robin Harper. I intend to ensure that the funding made available from the tapering mechanism will be directed quite specifically to the most affected areas, which include the crofting communities.
Members may wish to consider chapter 6 on rural affairs and forestry and chapter 8 on local government and European funds, which cover the core Scottish Executive rural affairs department and Forestry Commission work with local government services and European funding in general.
Does she agree that the project that is funded by Gretna Football Club and run by the First Base agency in Dumfries, which provides football training for both over-16s and under-16s, is the kind of model project that should be funded by the Executive and rolled out across Scotland?
