Report on the supplementary Legislative Consent Memorandum for the Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Bill (UK Parliament legislation) - Annex

Upon the introduction of the Bill, the UK Government states that it expects that, during the five year period of operation of the ICRIR, the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland will spend (on average) £35 to £50 million per year in providing resources to the ICRIR and to the designated persons carrying out memorialisation activities. The ICRIR will be wholly funded by the Secretary of State using that power.
