As one goes up to the very north of the Highlands, one finds that people know their local MSPs, but they know little about the other MSPs in Parliament, whom they feel outnumber their local MSPs.

That is a feature of my bill as it relates to MSPs. As you also know, it is entirely possible for an MSP not to come to work and not do the job that the public expects of them.
I accept and acknowledge that, when I refused to leave when asked to do so by you on Tuesday night, my behaviour fell well short of what should be expected of MSPs. I reiterate my sincere apologies to you and to the chamber for my behaviour on Tuesday evening.

The SPCB will, as good practice, support staff by granting non-statutory special leave with pay for assessment or treatment relating to fertility. MSPs, as employers, also have access to the same time off arrangements for their staff.
