This information is not currently collected centrally. We are commissioning a workforce survey which will report on key aspects of the childcare workforce around late spring 2000.
It calls on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Executive to recognise and promote public-community partnership funding as an alternative to public-private partnership funding as a means of securing the long-term future of rural schools.
The officials in the freshwater fisheries unit have applied jointly to the Crown Estate commissioner for research funding, which would enable an exercise to be conducted in the year ahead to tell us how that work on assessing carrying capacity might be developed.
Wehave also recently established the Educationfor Sustainable Development Liaison Group (ESDLG) to consider wider issues ofeducation for sustainable development in schools and to make recommendationsfor a strategy for the future.We are also taking forwardpolicies of promoting sustainable development in further and higher educationthrough the Scottish Further and Higher Education Funding Councils.
