Paragraph 6(1) confers power on the Secretary of State to issue a code of practice in connection with account information notices.

I would say that Parliament must absolutely have a vote on the code of practice. The difficulty with discussing the code of practice before we discuss the bill is that the code of practice will not be any good unless the bill is right.
The guidance on the code of conduct makes it clear that its provisions in relation to how members conduct themselves apply in relation to activity on social media, subject to the overall scope of the code.
