The facts are that from 1998 VisitScotland's funding has increased from £19.8 million to £33.2 million and it is proposed that it will increase even more in the next three years to £36.1 million, including £5 million for EventScotland.

Our contract with Scottish Gas emphasises the importance of customer care and responsibility.Installers of central heating systems should be insured against problems, so we must be careful, because it would not be appropriate for the public purse to pick up the cost of problems simply because it is funding the central heating programme.
