These programmes are application based. To date, there has beenno funding made available specifically for rugby facilities.However, through the Executive’sNational and Regional Sports Facilities Strategy, funding of £8 million in totalhas been made available to support the development of two municipal stadia, onein Glasgow and one in Edinburgh, which will benefit rugby.It is also expected that rugbywill benefit from the facility developments associated with other elements of theFacilities Strategy, the significant investment made through the New Opportunitiesfor PE and Sport (NOPES) programme as well as the funding available through sportscotland’sBuilding for Sport programme.

Physical development and movement is a key aspect of children's development and learning. 97% of four-year-olds and 80% of three-year-olds, now receiving grant funded pre-school education, are benefiting from learning through play.We are providing funding to a range of organisations committed to the development of play and, through the Special Educational Needs Innovation Grant Programme, to projects developing integrated play and learning for children with special needs.
