The Scottish Executive has agreed in principle to a Trade Union Learning Fund for Scotland; and also to the establishment of a Trade Union Working Party on Lifelong Learning to consider how trade unions can continue their valuable contribution to the development and implementation of lifelong learning initiatives.Enterprise and Lifelong Learning Department officials are in discussion with the STUC about how these initiatives can best be taken forward in conjunction with the STUC's new Lifelong Learning Unit.
