NHS Education for Scotland has published the “Basic Sensory Impairment Training for NHSScotland Frontline Staff” training course as an online resource for frontline and other staff across NHSScotland.
So many services are accessible only online, but thousands of my constituents have no access to wi-fi or a computer, so there will be no digital Christmas for them.
I might not be able to “pass the mic” in the chamber, but I can draw colleagues’ attention to the great online list of women of colour experts and commentators in Scotland.
Child safety week is a welcome opportunity to highlight the work that the trust and many other organisations are doing and, as colleagues have done, to highlight the resources, online and otherwise, that those organisations have created for access by parents and families.
The children of many less well-off families have been told to learn online and do their lessons online, but they do not have a laptop to access those lessons or—if they are lucky enough to go to a school that provides equipment—the connectivity that is required for them to do so.
