That is why I support Liz Smith’s Schools (Residential Outdoor Education) (Scotland) Bill. It is vital to get people out into the countryside and realising the value of outdoor pursuits, activities and sport.
One suffers from insomnia due to constant worry about what will happen to him and he has no way to communicate with his wife and family, which just adds to the worry. It is difficult to get appointments and even if one is available they can often get delayed or postponed.
The government has done everything it can to complicate this process for us. If/when we finally do get the answers/clarity we are seeking, it may well be too late to impact the Bill.
