Volume 1, Chapter 10 of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 Code of Practice provides guidance on the provision of medical treatment for mental disorder which are set out in part 16, including the issue of consent.

Businesses and organisations are required to operate CCTV systems within the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and Information Commissioner''s code of practice. We are currently concluding a strategic review of public space CCTV in Scotland, which is intended to clarify its specific role.
