Following the concordat with COSLA, the Scottish Government provided extra funding of £4.19 million between 2009 and 2011 to local authorities to help them deliver by 2011 the concordat commitment to an additional 10,000 respite weeks.
We are also supporting this work by providing £5 million of additional annual funding to NHS boards to employ 600 extra cleaners across the NHS. S3W-25176
