It is worth remembering that the year-end financial position of the NHS in Scotland last year was within 1 per cent of its budget, which would be an excellent outturn for any organisation, not least one with a budget of more than £5 billion.However, I take this opportunity to agree strongly with Mary Scanlon—it will not happen often.
