To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has any plans to offer financial or other support to the Salvation Army for its proposed alcohol addiction unit in Inverclyde. The funding of local alcohol addiction services operated by voluntary and charitable organisations is a matter for the health board and local authority.We are presently consulting on the development of a national Plan of Action on alcohol misuse, and expect to publish our plan at the end of this year.
