The key aims of deaf awareness week are to recognise and highlight the barriers that deaf people face in their daily lives and to promote discussion about how we improve the lives of deaf people.

In regulation 5(1) reference has been made to “daily living component” as opposed to the defined term which is “daily living component of Adult Disability Payment”.

Lived experience via organisational representatives
Analysis of the committee meetings relating to the three case studies showed that a variety of organisations bring the perspectives and voices of people with lived experience into the evidence they give to the committee in public evidence sessions.
